EILDON PRIMARY PRODUCTION
A big thanks to the students at Eildon Primary School in classes 5 and 6 for these 2 stunning films. Created over 3 full days the students had there stories ready to develop into films when I arrived. Thanks to Principal Victor Armstrong and support of teachers, our production team of 13 students were free to focus on building sets, characters, sound and then finally bringing it all to life.
Well done crew, enjoy the show!

Kind2Mind – Mental health Expo animation!
Play Animation facilitated the making of this funky little animation at the City of Kingston “Kind 2 Mind” Expo. A huge number of young people from several schools attended to take part in the name of mental health and “Looking After Yourself and Others”. Thanks Barb Donelson (Children and Youth Services Coordinator) at Kingston Information and Library Service for the support and Suzanne Bray (Youth Service Development Officer) and staff from Youth and Family Services City of Kingston for the opportunity. Thanks also to “Creative Dreams” art supplies in Boronia for supplying the Karate costume!
Below are many more films produced with Play Animation.

Arts Victoria is funding Play Animation
to spend Term 2 as “Artist in School” at Sacré Cœur in Glen Iris, Melbourne. We love the project too. Play Animation will have 2 classes in grade 5 develop and produce an animation that is inspired from a book shortlisted in the “Children’s Book of the Year Awards“. We intend to blog the project so stay tuned. Contact us to come visit your school for a demo!
Bushfire Affected Schools aim to Animate
Play Animation is currently working with RAV (Regional Arts Victoria) to secure funding for the “Tough Toon Skills” project to run at Marysville and Eildon Primary Schools. The animation production will educate students on film and animation, as well as provide a platform to express resilience skills from the “Bounce Back” program used by Marysville PS. Eildon PS will work the principles shared through the “Festival of Healthy Living” that Berry Street is supporting. Both schools use these programs to help bring well-being into the lives of our youth. We will bring animation into the L.O.T.E (Languages Other Than English) classes within the project too, as a stop motion animation project is a great way to learn a second language.
