Play Animation is a traveling animation studio, with a class set of digital cameras/ tripods/lighting/ set and character constructing materials/ projector and screen.

We are ready to visit classes and introduce the fun and engaging production of Stop Motion Animation and Claymation across Australia! Teachers need only supply the class space to create. Take your students through the exciting process of making an original short film. Teach content through film and animation. Give students the opportunity to demonstrate their passion for learning via the hands-on medium of plasticine and other recycled objects. Workshops in Claymation and film techniques range from 90 minute sessions – full day – on going sessions over a term (see Large Productions). Play Animation can assist teaches produce the curriculum through an easy process.

At the completion of the workshop, each class comes away with their own film on DVD and an AVI file ready for publishing on the web.

Professional Development for Teachers
Play Animation visits schools to assist teachers with becoming more confident using software and creating films. Feedback given is that students are amazed as early as the next day by their teachers new abilities. This inspires great want of learning! Software, “Stop Motion Pro” is used in PD for it’s ease and powerful use as the animation tool kit. Free software is discussed and can be a focus if requested, including Movie Maker and the sound recording devices accessible on all school computers.
